Fine Bone China - Artist's Water Jug
I’ve teamed up with ceramicist extraordinaire Wendy Tournay to create these unique artist’s water jugs.
Each water jug is handcrafted by Wendy and features a signature 24ct gold drip decoration, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi-sabi" — the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. This philosophy resonates particularly well with an artist's tool, where progress is made through inevitable mistakes, inky splots, and splashes.
Our collaboration combines state-of-the-art 3D printing to create a high-resolution 'master'. Wendy uses this master to create a plaster mould, which she then uses to replicate the design by pouring bone china slip into it.
Each just is hand-cast and completely unique. It also pairs beautifully with the Fine Bone China - Artist's Palette (not included)
